Angry No BA lounge access in Palermo

Just wondered whether there are other airport that BA flies to where there is no lounge access.

Just returned on a Club Europe flight from Palermo and was disappointed to find no lounge access to CE passengers in the airport. No warning/information on booking either.

Are there many other airports where there is no lounge access for CE/CW ticket holders?

There are a few knocking about in Europe. I'm sure there was a list going somewhere in one of the threads but KEF seems to be the one that has been mentioned most recently. Also IIRC Innsbruck has no lounge. There are more but just can't recall off the top of my head.

BGO and SVG come to mind as not having lounges.

You can see the destinations where lounge access is provided and where there is no lounge access here:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...se-europe.html

For example, look at INN, SPU, PFO, BRI, CAG, among others.

But I think you at least get a voucher there to buy some food & drink?

Check out the Ibiza thread for a few rants on this.

They now fly year round from LCY, added LHR - and in the height of summer, have 6-7 BA flights a day. You'd think they might address it - given that other legacy airlines (not least Iberia) fly there too.

Correct. Although, as the quality with a lot of Dutch food, it is nothing to write home about.

Thanks all...I had no idea...naively thought that booking a CE ticket, lounge access was part of the benefit

For those on mobile gadgets, the Europe Lounge thread has the information in the Wiki, so you need to click the Full Site button. I haven't had my first PMO yet so that was in the TBC, but it's coming!

No lounge access for the BA flight at KRK

AB and AY flights do have OW access

Apparently there was a directive that any new route in 2015 did not immediately get lounge access

Palermo is a horrible place to visit. BA has got it right by trying to discourage people by having no lounge. Policy bang on!
