On Business
I am not sure how the on business works? would it affect my personal account at all? what are the benefits to my company of I join? I do like all the avios and tier points I collect, especially when I get up to gold and maintain. It also allows for a yearly trip from Canada to France for my wife and I on avios which I do not want to loose.

You can also not get the points and get a 5% discount on fares.

This seems a relatively odd attitude, to be honest.
a) however you look at it, you are getting free points
b) you get better reward availability than you get via Avios (more marginal for a BA Gold, big difference for Silver and below) and - at times - that can be very valuable. I save my points for those days when I can't get an Avios seat but must fly.
I did an overview of the scheme and how I value the rewards last month - http://www.headforpoints.com/2016/04...ss-reviewed-2/ - fundamentally you are looking at 1 OB point being worth 2-4 Avios.
That means 2p-4p of value per £1 you spend with BA. Not hugely valuable but certainly worth claiming for the 10 seconds it takes to add your number.
New members get TRIPLE points on their first 6 flights, so 6p to 12p of value per £1 spent. That is a decent return, especially if they are expensive sectors.
The only point I would concede is that premium cabin redemptions are now worthless. 2,200 points Y return to Hamburg = a decent deal to me if there are no Avios seats, whilst 10,400 points Club Europe return to Hamburg is just a joke.
