GGL for life
Morning Folks,
When I log into my BA account, I always have a look at my lifetime tier points and they march slowly towards 35,000 and Gold for Life. It will be a nice perk for when (if!) I retire.
I was thinking that Gold for life is hard earned, even when flying regularly in premium cabins. So GGL for Life at 100,000 lifetime tier points is quite a challenge- 20 years of earning 5000 TPs, and as we know- that's a tough slog!
So my question is- have any of the veterans on these hallowed boards attained GGL for Life status??

that's just so much flying.
If the urban myth is true that there are approx. 400 CCR holders, Im guessing at least 50% of those are still below 6000 a year. to do that for 15-18 years is tough.
on my current burn rate, Id be GGLFL in approx. 10 years, but to be honest, ive no desire to be travelling that much in just 5 years time.
Fair play to those who make it though. im guessing there are fewer than 20

morges1 is LTGGL, no secret as it's on his FT profile.
I recall someone posting that they'd reached it within the last year, but can't recall who (maybe someone based in HKG?).
Also vaguely recall on another thread someone mentioning that there were 25-30 LTGGLs, though no idea of the validity of that number.
Can't see me ever reaching such hallowed grounds, am sure there will be many changes to BAEC before I even get remotely close. Will stick to being a common or garden GGL for as long as that lasts

GGL for life
I am hitting LTG next membership year and will finish this year on just over 9k.
God willing, I've got a few years of travel left and I'm competitive so LTGGL is the ambitious though not entirely serious goal.....
