BA premium economy phx-Lhr

I'm a new AA flyer. I happily divorced UA last month and about to complete my platinum challenge on AA. That being said I fly to the UK a few times a year to visit family. I was looking at the BA non stop in premium economy at the end of May. It's about $2800. To fly AA it's about $2200 with a connection of course. Worth it? I looked at the BA website and they mentioned a new premium economy on certain aircraft but I failed to see their 744 mentioned.

How is that cabin on the 744 Dino birds?

Flying BA for the first time on that exact route Friday.

Flying PE to LHR and J on the way home. (MR to JNB)

I'm new to AA/BA, too!

I will let you know!

I cannot recall seeing the new WTP when I flew this route 10 days ago (a regular one for me). I believe that the new WTP is only offered on certain planes (I'm happy to be corrected). Mind you, I think the old WTP is still good.

Was the AA option it's new PE or MCE?

I have flown this route a few times in Premium economy. Its fine for daytime flights, I have never had anything but the old seats. I don't find them very comfortable for sleeping on the overnights.

IFE screens are pretty small, food is better than economy.

PHX is pretty much guaranteed the old seats. As I understand it the 747s serving T3 routes aren't due to get the refit.
