This is on a permanent basis and not the seasonal promotions.

I am not sure about the CCR and am pretty sure this will not include non BA run lounges.
Good scoop!! Just got the confirmation email 👍😊

"on the same flight".

That's new.

Have they updated the standard guesting T&Cs with the same wording?

i think it is to operate in tandem with the existing broader guesting rule rather than replace it - just like the recent school holiday relaxations https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30927869-post21.html

GGL Redemption/Jokers

This is by far the most sought after benefit, as it allows you to make two return bookings per year on BA flights with Avios booking into revenue available seats as follows:
  • Seats needs to be available in revenue classes (A for first, D for CW, T for WT+) (though the GGL team can request additional seats on your behalf in some circumstances)
Just checking on this before I phone in. Do other fare classes count? I assume business 'I' is fine? I'm looking at a ticket moving from W to R, but not sure if 'R' would count as eligible for joker Avios upgrade?

If I and R are available I would be surprised if D was 0.

I, R, D, C, J

^ so, typically, I or R would be OK as it's highly unlikely D would be full? But C and J are no-go for joker use?

I think that makes sense. Just trying to target the right plane for a joker use...

I think this must be somewhere in the thread but I am struggling to find it. There are currently two seats in First in the F bucket. I called up and was told they can't do anything to release these for a space release. Anyone have any tips on getting this done? There are only 4 seats in CW too which we are currently in. Flight is this weekend so no chance they will drop into A.

if it’s F2 A0 you can’t use a joker. There used to be some element of discretion (albeit I suspect you still wouldn’t have been successful here) but these days it seems a lot more strict.
annihilation likes this.

For some reasons my paper boarding passes now longer show “GGL”. Are others experiencing this?

Mine have said GGL for the past year or so - but on flights leaving LHR only. Though there have been some changes in how it has been presented. For a long time, it always said **GGL. Then I had a couple of flights recently where it appeared as ***GGL*** . On my last flight, it was simply written as GGL. Odd!

Ditto! They are probably “improving” their systems, and merging us with Gold. That way they can’t be held accountable when you try to bring in your entire brood into GF... Although, I only have one, so need to work on a few more

Is the 7K mark 1xGUF2 or 2xGUF1? Or is there a choice?
