Apologies if I have missed the answer to this question, but can GUF1/2 be used to upgrade hotline tickets?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hit 5005TP at 1pm Hong Kong time today (assume midnight on the east coast so second day after the flights). Still another 120-180 to post and possible 240 if I can claim ORC.
BA haven't updated anything status wise yet so no idea if I can get into the CCR tomorrow.

It is usually a two stage process, so first night the TPs post, second night the status updates.

Thanks KARFA.
My assumption was that GUFs could not be used for hotlines, because of the statement you quoted.
I looked at the GUF terms and conditions, which state:
"4. Gold Upgrade vouchers can be used in conjunction with any published fare sold directly by British Airways, including Avios points redemption bookings. However, it excludes group bookings and those sold as part of a packaged holiday. Gold Upgrade vouchers may be used in conjunction with eligible industry or agency discounted fares only."
I was not sure what is covered under the above section in bold.

I'm going to qualify for GGL with just under a month left in my tier point earning year. As I understand it, I'll get 2 jokers valid for the rest of that year, then 2 more will be issued for the new year.
As such, it's going to be a challenge for me to use both of the first 2 jokers.
I understand I can use a joker to book for someone else. But the friend I'm thinking of would want to use it with a Chase 241 redemption in their name. Would this be allowed?
I'm assuming no, but hoping someone more familiar with the program would know.

I am planning to use a joker for four F tickets flying in to Bangkok and out of Hong Kong.
If I use my joker to book the outbound when it is released does it count as the same joker if I call the add on the inbound or do I need to use a second joker?
Also, can I use my 2-4-1s and GUFs to cover both flights or will they only be applied to the outbound.
Finally, will the GGL line be open if I call at midnight on the day of release or do I have to call one of the Asia exec club numbers in order to book these flights?
And one more....if we needed to change dates, would that involve a new joker or does it just attach to the booking.
Many thanks.

Wow, that's some list of questions. Answers below:
If you're using a joker why not just wait until the outbound and inbound flights are available to book? You'd have to be really unlucky for someone to have used the joker before you in this instance and I can't imagine the required fare class will have gone if you book very early. Nonetheless, yes, if you did it in two phases, the same joker applies to all sectors in a booking provided that no one has used it already and the required fare class is available.
Yes
I refer you to my first answer. There's really no point in staying up and doing it this way. The whole point of the joker is to open up availability when none is there.
You can use the same one provided again that no-one has used it before you on the new flight you want and that the required fare class is available.

Perhaps the laid back approach would be to call in the morning rather than at midnight
