Not sure exactly what you mean here. If you are referring to the new set of nominations you get when GGL renews annually, then what matters is that the nominees are in your household account or F&F list at the point of nomination.
You could add them to the lists at any point before you intend to nominate, bearing in mind as above, if you remove someone, you can't change the F&F list again for 6 months.

It may be possible to nominate within a household account if you are not the head (perhaps log in and see if the "nominate" button is there and working from the household account), but I don't know, hopefully someone else can give a definitive answer.

It's one of the areas where BAEC is still pretty generous IMO, though of course there are a limited number of GGLs, and the nominees probably don't fly that much otherwise they would earn their own status (perhaps excepting someone who flies a lot of shorthaul Y, but not enough to earn status).

Correct, there is no automated renewal of nominations. If you time it right, you may not need to do it every year anyway for each person, as a nominee gets their status for the remainder of their current membership year and all of their following year.

It was certainly no problem when I needed CCR access the day after I qualified, long before the arrival of the card or the updating of 'the list'. I called the GGL line, who were more than happy to call the CCR staff at T5, and indeed the agent at the podium had my details when I arrived and waived me in. ^
Now of course I had already officially qualified at this point, but I would imagine they could certainly arrange for you to have access.

Perhaps you could call the day before/of the flight? I called a few hours before my flight, and so they were able to inform the staff currently there. Perhaps I would have been told no as well, had I called further out.
If all else fails, I'm sure you'll appreciate the CCR that much more on you next visit, after your final visit to the GF.

That's disappointing, I'm sorry to hear that they weren't able to provide a better solution for you.

I'm not a great expert on household accounts, but I assume you could use your F&F list to nominate regardless of household account status. Someone can be on both lists if necessary.
It may be possible to nominate within a household account if you are not the head (perhaps log in and see if the "nominate" button is there and working from the household account), but I don't know, hopefully someone else can give a definitive answer.

What oaxaca said, but remember that you can be too clever on when you use nominations to maximise value. BA's systems get confused on the TP collection year vs. membership year (I.e. card expiry) and if you've nominated someone on the first day of their new TP collection year it can require some calls / emails 12 months later to get things sorted out.

GGL welcome at BA first lounge T5
Never had this before, just had my third anniversary as a GGL. Checked in to the T5 first lounge and the lady on reception said we have a message for you!!
Welcome as a special member to GGL. I also received an upgrade last night :-)
Has anyone else had this?
Will be interesting to see what the service is like on the plane :-)
