I have just had a go at a few short haul routes but can't replicate your find, it only shows be the normal band rate so for e.g. a Y peak rtn to BCN shows as 16,500 + Ł35.00, a J peak rtn to LIS gives 27,000 + Ł50.00. But this is one to keep a watch on.

This is a very interesting find. Using a 241 only ever used to give one price point rather than the multiple ones we see for normal reward bookings. However, the one price point was always the old standard band rates. It will be very annoying if this changes to only giving the 50p rates considering the poorer avios value it represents.

I just read the OP and I guess I'm confused. I could have sworn I read somewhere that if one achieves lifetime GGL, they won't be able to retain the CCR card unless they earn 5000 TPs in their membership year. The OP clearly says otherwise. So if one achieves lifetime GGL, what does a member loses if he doesn't achieve 5000 TPs in a membership year anymore? If nothing, then that's pretty good on BA ensuring that someone with lifetime status gets everything that a GGL will get. I just don't know about the perks that come from 7k, 8k, and 9k TPS/year and how it relates to lifetime GGL.
TIA!

With regards to GGLfL, I'm assuming I'll also get the 1 gold card and 2 silver cards to give out every year for life?
The benefits from 7k, 8k, and 9k TPs can only be acquired by accruing the required TPs and GGLfL will have no influence on it right?
Thank you!

With regards to GGL, I know I have to hit 5k TPs in order to qualify and it'll be 3k TPs to re-qualify. If I re-qualify at 3k, will I be able to retain the Concorde card? Will I get the 1 Gold card and 2 Silver cards to gift to my family and friends?

Even the parental extension of status does not cover CCR cards (I flew 3K something when my oldest son was born and they flatly rejected a CCR card extension that year).

5K is always required for the CCR in normal times. That threshhold is now 25% less - 3750 - consistent with the 25% reduction across the board (e.g., 2250 to renew GGL rather than 3K).

I'm sad for you that BA wouldn't make an exception for you in the year that your son was born.
Will I need 3k or 5k to retain Hilton Diamond?
Assuming BA and Hilton maintains their current agreement, I'm assuming that by having GGLfL, I'll also have Hilton Diamond for life?

Yes and thank you for the explanation. Everything that I want to discuss pertains to a normal year. I know last year and this year were an exception for obvious reasons.

Hilton Diamond is a core GGL benefit so you have it as long as you have GGL and so unless the GGL benefits change, yes you should have it for life.
My CCR card WAS extended this year after flying <600 TPs in my year ending Feb 2021 (interestingly its the first year in many where BA was a minority of my flights - largely due to schedules and the lack of options/frequency).

It was poor form. Like seriously, how many CCR members have a kid in any given year and don't meet their status? We have to be talking about a low two digit number of people? Seems like a very silly line to draw.

Very strange that they'll extend your CCR card during COVID, but not in one of the most important years of your life.

I think BA views the CCR card like other TP triggered trinkets such as GUFs, so it isn't a status level to be extended rather a benefit to be earned at a specific threshold.

Think of GGL as the status level and the CCR card as a benefit. Once you qualify at 5k, you need 3k to retain GGL and all the benefits (Hilton Diamond, partner cards, space release, etc.). Then the GUF vouchers, CCR card, and additional benefits at 6k, 7k, etc. as milestone bonuses.
For GGLfL, if you're going from a standing start that's a serious amount of flying - 100k TPs is no mean feat.
