if there is availability in I for exARN POS and that’s the POS your TA uses why not get the TA to apply the GUF at the time of booking?

My work TA will not allow anything like that, that is not according to some strict policy. I can only do this by making the booking and then calling BA afterwards.

Has the GGL number changed? The last three times I've tried it - on different days - it just holds the jingle and nobody picks up. :-?

So I've just tried to use my first ever joker. 11 months in advance, 8 revenue seats available to book in CE, BA GGL agent unable to release any seats in CE but did offer WT (useless as I also want to use GUF2). Disappointing to say the least, is this normal?

You’ve missed @KARFA’s main point - is/was D selling class available? You will only be permitted to use a ‘Joker’ in Club if D class is available.

What is the best way to check? Looking at the standard revenue seats they are selling class C.

People normally check using tools such as ExpertFlyer, as KARFA has done for you. If you don’t have access to such tools, in future you can post flight details in the availability and flight load thread as linked below, and somebody will usually help you

Help to check BA seat availability and BA flight loads

Based on the availability posted above, although it’s half term and the flight could be heavily booked, it’s possible BA has only opened the highest booking classes in each cabin so far, and will open more later. I’d be keeping an eye on this, you may find D class opens in the coming weeks.

There must be D class availability for the 'Joker' irrespective of where you book the flight.

When I look in my app as GGL, it says I need X points to renew GGL but no mention of needing 4 BA qualifying flights. Is this still a requirement or not?

What happens if I (hypothetically) achieve 3000 TPs which are good for renewal but have taken no BA qualifying flights?
