This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

That macaroni is atrocious looking. I miss when the FLounge had Bollinger, including Bollinger Rose. Also, the little egg and tomato sandwiches. At least they weren't dry and bland.

Oh, definitely not the same as I had. Their menu pastas and curries are usually pretty good.

I am sorry but the BA first lounge at T5 is really average at best still. The burger remains just awful and the remnants of food in the bay mari just looks worse. No salt and pepper on tables, champagne not replaced empty bottles in buckets,it looks dirty!! Same old, same old..

I started my trip as a OW Sapphire and hit OW Emerald two days before I came back through London. My BP still showed me as a OWS but the agents were nice enough to let me in when I showed my AA Digital Card showing me as a OWE

Sadly I was here too early to enjoy some scotch

The Charles VII champagne was quite tasty and amusing to me as I'm Charles IV. I was drinking my unborn great grandson's champagne

Improvements

so the Flounge had upped its game recently. New coffee machine, new brand of ice cream (Yarde Farm - yummy), new juice dispensers. The Pouilly Fumé was great too. I like it!

Indian food and steak pies (some nice and crispy onions in the Indian food that detract from what the taste should be, but nice enough).

New coffee machines near the food areas

Juice dispensers

New fork / knife wallets

Yarde Farm vanilla ice cream. Nothing special to be honest.

All change again. The big juice dispensers have gone and the plastic jugs are back. Highland Spring is nowhere to be seen. Still water is Harrogate and sparkling is Speyside Glenlivet. The magazine rack at the entrance to the refectory has been removed and is now a sandwich and pastry point. Best of all I asked at the Elemis Spa and have booked a facial that begins in an hour and a half. This is a great change as far as I am concerned. Yes, I know it isn’t food.

another new item

We have barbecue beef crisps today. Number 2 son tells me they are not as good as the red bag (chilli).

Monthly. To see the latest, see the CCR lounge menu (take away the club sandwich sometimes add some puddings).

Great to see Zacapa 23 rum (Ron Zacapa Centenario Solera 23) in the First Lounge today - very welcome step up from the normal Barcadi 8 option. Hopefully not a temporary swap!

I can recommend the beef curry and rice from the dining menu - I had it last week and enjoyed it. The dish was hot, beef tender and spiced just right.
