Galleries First (Flounge) LHR: Dining menu and food options

This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

Delicious dessert being served today. No label, but it was a cylindrical mousse with a raspberry filling covered in white chocolate - scrumptious

Probably the best food I've had in the Flounge.
Although they seem to call it 'bacon loin' now.

Maybe missed it before but in the GF today and they now have a 'light bites/tapas' section next to where the soup is located. Balsamic vinegar pickled onions, some cold cuts, tzatziki and other bites. Quite nice addition if you feel the need for nibbles.

I've never noticed the Club Sandwich on the menu - is this something that's available to order "off menu"?

I will be Flounge tomorrow morning, and will head for the menu area, as that smoked salmon and scrambled egggs will go down a treat.^

I'm not a massive fan of the Sri Lankan chicken curry (pictured), I preferred the Thai curry:

100% agree - tried it today after seeing your photo of it here and it's one of the best things they've had on the menu in years, loved it ^

Same here. I'll have it once in a while but am honestly not a big fan despite having had it prepared by the best. Incidentally, it's been on quite a few of my A380 (soon RIP) tasting menus.

More of a reconfiguration than an addition and, if truth be told, possibly a bit of a cutback. Not a major deal, to be sure.

when I was there last week it looked like the area where the sandwiches and desserts used to be (middle of the large drinks cabinet) is now juices and drinks stuff. Makes sense I suppose since it is on the whole a drinks cooler. The area that hosted the cold buffet food at the main food stand now has said sandwiches and the sweet options, while the lite bites/cold buffet stuff has been squeezed into the area that you mention. Sort of makes sense actually, as the sandwiches and desserts among the drinks were always a bit peculiar. I am thinking there might be a bit less choice of cold savory food, but it always seemed a bit less popular than the other food anyway. One thing to note is that grabbing the cheese from the lite bites area was a bit of a crowded challenge as the display's been squeezed in a bit.

In my view this is definitely a further cutback. What used to be the "comprehensive" salad buffet (per the description in Post #1 on this thread) has been reduced to 1 x bowl of lettuce and 1 x bowl of couscous. The hot food section of the buffet also appears enhanced to something very similar to Galleries Club (watery chilli, tasteless slimy pasta) plus a couple of "bonus" items such as the mysterious "salmon lax pie".

2 weeks when the arancini balls had disappeared from the "to order" menu, they appeared on the buffet. When I was back a few days later they were no longer.. shame!

Us Silvers enjoy unashamed glee at such enhancements in the GF lounge.

Lucky for me I like dry bacon rolls and the odd sandwich "if I'm lucky".... Seems your years of extravagance are drawing to a close!
