This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

Seems weird to me. Gin and Vodka offerings are identical in both Galleries & GF whereas GF offers JW Blue which is a hugely expensive whiskey.

It's been a good few years since I've been good but I'm sure T10 used to be in GF.

Incidentally the vodka offering in both lounges is great - Ciroc is a great drop ^

I wouldn't like to confirm or deny 100% but I have a feeling you may be right regarding the T10. I don't know when it actually stopped in GF (or was supposed to anyway), but I definitely recall it being a regular feature in the old T4 first lounge, therefore presumably T5 GF too.

I fully agree it's sometimes a baffling situation. GF also offers Glenlivet 18 instead of 15 and Woodford Reserve, although I have seen a few knocking around in some of the GC's too.

Mustn't grumble- the very definition of first world problems

The new Rose isn't as bad as I feared either, quite enjoyed it actually ^

Indeed we can't grumble too much ^ I have yet to sample the Rose, will have to wait until early May for the official first tasting results from the other half. I think I'll most likely stick to the St Austell's

Gordon's is quite poor for GF, there are much better gins.

The general menu drought in T5 GF continues, but it seems to me that they are often on the eating tables in the "refectory" area even if they are not on the tables in the rest of the lounge, so one can seek a menu and order from there for delivery to elsewhere in the lounge.

I am afraid you can only see the menus around when someone who knows requests it and before they are collected after ordering. Otherwise there are no signs of menus whatsoever.

I tried the aranchini the other day in the T3 lounge....Delicious! I'm so happy to see this on the menu. Long may it remain! Followed by the BA burger, I was very satisfied with my lunch (although the dining room was by far the busiest I've ever seen it)

Why are the menus on request?

Sounds like the first step towards an 'enhancement away', due to "insufficient demand"?

The menus for breakfast are plentiful and scattered across the Flounge for breakfast this morning! The new scrambled eggs and salmon was very nice.

Edit: Since I couldn't see one, here's a picture of the current menu:-

I have wondered about that on my last trip. They seem to be... just missing.

I basically had to waylay a staff and ask for the menu before she grudgingly went to the order counter to get one for me. [Tip: The menus are actually on the order terminal which is between the buffet table and the coffee machines. Near the kids area I think].

Are they intentionally doing this to cut costs?

Well what do you think?

BA will have beaten the catering supplier down on costs so one would guess that BA and or the catering supplier will have a vested interest in ensuring that the menus are "overlooked" by most.
