Galleries First (Flounge) LHR: Dining menu and food options

Last edit by: KARFA
This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

I presume on top of this, they also do a self serve breakfast buffet?
Is this a bigger selection than the normal business lounge?

At what time do they switch to the lunchtime menu, quite fancy trying the salt beef on sour dough at some time?

Is it the same menu at LGW first lounge?

As a newly qualified Gold... I'm busting to try out the slightly better lounges.

First flight in two weeks is from LGW and LHR on 8th Dec, both are in the morning so will just have to work through the list of breakfast items, but get the chance to try out both

Unfortunately just arrived and there are 3 options on the menu, tasty but small and a rather unappealing buffet to choose from! I guess the new normal allowed for a few more cuts which is understandable given the last 2-3 years. Likely wonít make make status this year and actually not too disappointed about it given the new world!

I have seven hours to spare next week waiting for my international flight. I will scope out the lounge and post some pictures and the lounge status for the FT community after I have breakfast in the CCR. If it helps anyone, that will be my pleasure. I will be bored out of my socks and can't get too tippled as I will have to find my way to Terminal C for my flight. Gotta have something to do.

First time in here since they got rid of the little market table, it's by no means fine dining but there's a relatively decent spread...

Cold(ish) options,

Sandwiches
Scones
Cheese & biscuits
Cakes
Salad/potato salads/pasta salads

And the hot,

Steak & Ale pies
Mashed potato
Gravy
Mixed vegetables
Salmon fishcakes
Basmati Rice
Chilli
Chicken curry
Tomato Pasta

And there are still a couple of items on the QR menu, the salted beef and Thai red curry both being very nice.

2/ what is the obsession with crap school dinner food? You would forget London is the centre of global cuisine by flying with BA.

Nope, the only cooling is from the waft of people flowing past it.

Always appreciate these offers of photos!

Just don't look for the signs to Terminal C as you won't find any; follow the signs to Gates C52-C66.

I was in there on Tuesday and Thursday and The Cheese and Biscuits/Oatcakes definitely the best thing on offer in my view.

Nice bit of Stilton and Cheddar - mind you the cheese is not covered either.

Also chutney in a bowl and a few grapes complete the Cheeseboard.

I'll be in GF on Tuesday morning and trying to decide on whether to have the breakfast at the hotel or in GF. Can anyone who has been in GF at breakfast time recently report on what the breakfast options were?

TIA

Breakfast is as-was before the pandemic. There is a buffet with the full English items plus other stations with parties, fruit, cerials, etc. There are also some menu items. It is certainly very suitable for breakfast.

Not sure I like the idea of a party station at breakfast time, but others might be up for it!
