Galleries First (Flounge) LHR: Dining menu and food options

This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

I am at the FLounge now and the food offerings are decent. The app-based choices are minimal, but there is also a nice a range of salads, burgers and vegan burgers, and Pho or some similar noodle-based soup option.

In terms of grog, the booze is definitely not top shelf...

For wine, I appreciated the heads-up earlier in this thread re decent white wines randomly available. I found two Grand Cru white Burgundys in ice buckets. The Champagne is decent too, albeit not what one finds in the Concorde Room. For reds, here is what I saw...

Let me conclude this update with a brief rant. How are there no decent Scotches? Why is there no Cognac or other brandy? I don't get it. Is brandy so rarefied that it is only available in First and in the Cocorde Room? Evidently so...

Whilst I agree with the above, more importantly, where has the Ice Cream Tub Freezer and it's contents gone to ?

BA urgently need to use the old chillers again. It's not great having products that should be chilled (such as salad and sandwiches) sitting at ambient temperature.

It doesnít look as though I should be making myself any champagne cocktails then. Even though I continue to carry the sugar lumps and bitters 😬🙈

I do! There's nothing wrong with those wines. And, it isn't that I expect to see wines of the nature one sees in the Concorde Room in the FLounge. But, there's a sizeable area in between where they could offer a nice range of mid-tier wines. For example, although the champagnes in the lounge are not the most distinguished available, they are solid offerings (not prosecco or cava, but not LPGS either). I'd like to see the wines onboard in C and in the Flounge in that space.

Iím in the Flounge now and Iím happy to report that the temporary food tables at the entrance to the dining area have been removed and the buffet has been restored back to its pre-pandemic location. Hot food in the heated counter and salad and sandwiches plus soup along the side. The at-seat ordering is still available but with very limited choices.
