Galleries First (Flounge) LHR: Dining menu and food options

This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

Had the Flounge Chicken Jalfrezi at T5 a couple of weeks ago. Was good, but not as good as the Thai Red Curry it replaced.

I also had the Duck Wrap back in early January in GF T3, and it wasn't bad at all - but it had been toasted/warmed though. Not soggy at all, though I thought it was lacking on hoi-sin flavour.

I wish I'd got the survey on recent visits

Three times in the last two weeks, all after 6pm:
+ No menus on tables, had to ask
+ No desserts except cheese
+ Two out of the three times the self-serve option was pork (so you could choose between pulled pork or pork loin)
+ Third time was cod that been under the hot lamp and dessicated to the point of being chewy. Watched a server remove an untouched tray of it and replace it with another soon-to-be-ruined tray. What a waste of food!

I did point out the cod to a passing manager, suggesting maybe a foil cover to help keep in fresh. She said "oh really" and wandered off.

I've had the Asparagus tortellini a few times now and it's impressed me thoroughly and consistently. Restaurant-quality, I would venture!

March menus aren't in the Concorde print books, but are printed in the same soft pamphlet as you get on board in First.

Thanks for uploading, looks interesting with the ham hock and the goats' cheese sandwich. I shall be supplying the tasting notes for the benefit of this forum come next Saturday for my next Viking.

Just sampled the arancini - not too bad: the pea veloute was rather tasty, the arancini well cooked (if a little stodgy) and the parmesan crisp was... definitely crispy!

I had the arancini when I was there on Tuesday hoping for the best (as I'm not a big fan of peas) but found that I had to scrape all the velouté to the side to enjoy the arancini as there was just too much of it! The Parmesan crisp was indeed crispy!

Yes, I can see that if you don't like peas, this probably won't be your favourite dish, the pea flavour is definitely quite strong. In a good way! (if you like peas)

I quite like the new menu look, it's more refined and still fits my favourite breakfast dish, eggs Benedict :-)

Galleries First (Flounge) LHR: Dining menu and food options 2016

Had the jalfrezi last night- bland and lukewarm - not a good combination.
Arancini was off the menu.
At least the ice cream was nice.

Ah yes the ultra-mild BA jalfrezi with the boil in a bag rice, just marvellous and PREMIUM.

I have a tale from the BS Manager when I raised a complaint that I will write up this weekend.

Mr hugolover, you appear to have become very negative and cavillous in recent months.
