This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

Are we being overly harsh on the food? I've seen a lot of derogatory posts but I had dinner a couple of days ago, consisting of rice, chilli, mushroom thing and pasta. It was all very lovely, the chilli was actually wonderful! Great smokey flavour. I would have been happy with the chilli in a restaurant!

The lounge was spotless, loads of staff around and generally really good.

Consistency is not BA's strentgth and based on my own experience I believe both sides.

The Speyside Glenlivet water? It was supposed to be a promotion, Glenlivet paid for this access, but normally promotions only last a few weeks, and this is well over a month now. CCR also covered by this.

Yep the Speyside. And LHR T5F isn't the only UK lounge covered by this 'promotion'. It's still water, but was wondering as BA does love their Highland Spring!

I had the 'chilli' on Saturday, which was actually some kind of minced barbecued beef and was fine, however, the other offerings looked somewhat dried out and unappealing- particularly the diced potato things that were inedible due to their robust texture.

To accompany my drink, I opted for the Stilton, however, on removing the cut cheese from the display, I disturbed two flies that were doing what flies do in between the slices so I decided that it was best to give the cheese a miss.

Is it too much of an issue to have some type of glass dome to cover the cheese?

Last hygiene inspection was fairly recent : 2nd March, 2016 I believe, and they passed with flying colours. (Oh how things change!)

In the Flounge at the moment with my 7 year old daughter. Anybody care to share the location of the fridge containing the ice cream? Assuming it is still here. I know I could just ask the staff as it is showing in the lounge order menu, but thought I would try here first.

It's gone.

It was right where you were standing a minute ago choosing some food, but it left the scene a while ago. I presume that was you and your daughter!

Summer thing I guess.

The fridge was a promotion for the summer unfortunately (additional to that on the menu). You can still ask the lounge staff for ice cream though, they have a few flavours available to order!

Have they gone beyond the hugely original choices of vanilla and chocolate?? If so that definitely is a positive enhancement!
