My first time with the new breakfast menu. I think a few people have posted the odd photo, but here is the full menu. Am about to try the Concorde Eggs Benedict, and maybe the California one next.

I am not a big fan of using the new sourdough for eggs Benedict in GF and CCR. I think the muffins were better as a base.

I love sourdough, but I think you are right that the muffin base was better. The other advantage of the previous eggs benedict is that I could easily order my usual of a double portion, whereas with the new serving dishes you wouldn't be able to get two on one dish. In any case you can always order multiple times and I am about to do just that!

Maybe they are just trying to shame you into having one? Not sure that is going to work for you and Chris1979!

Btw I managed to get two eggs on 1piece of bread last time. Not tried the Californian variety but shall give that one a go.

Eggs Bene go very well with the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.
KARFA is still young. He'll get there one day.

A tale of two breakfasts
On the left we have a lovely full English which seems to have been cooked to order and includes a rich slab of black pudding.
On the right, we have a plate of breakfast items that seem to have been cooked hours ago and left under a heat lamp before being put on a plate. The bacon tastes like it is of lower quality than on the right. The rosti has no crunch. The sausage was okay.
Left - The Concorde Room
Right - The Concorde Breakfast Room in the Arrivals lounge
It's always been this way. I don't know why I torture myself but when I step off a long haul flight I want a full English and then it turns out to be horrid.

I tried the breakfast room in arrivals for the first time in December. I thought it might just have been because it was NYE, but the service and food quality was terrible. I was really surprised. It took an age and when it finally arrive the order was wrong. When the food di come it wasn't hot and looked like it had been sitting there for ages. If I need arrivals again after an F flight, I'll just use the buffet.

Yes, given a choice, always go CCR rather than CCBR. The CCR staff are dedicated to that lounge, it's the top of the tree in terms of BS's career progression (apart from the Windsor Suite, but that's a curved ball). So the CCR staff can and do send things back to the kitchen before you see it, if it's not up to scratch, which absolutely is their job to do. The catering facilities in Arrivals are also weaker. But still the CCBR isn't that bad, the breakfasts I've had there have been reasonable.
