You'd happily pop down to London to spend the day in an airport lounge, but not to visit an embassy?

I don't think I have ever just come to London to visit a lounge. There is usually some purpose to my trips

The issue for me (and quite possibly others) is that I guess the Russian embassy only does this during weekdays and I would have to take a day off work jsut to come and do the visa. I enjoy taking days off work for travel - but I would see this as a waste of 1 day of my leave.

It is a shame since I was thinking of going to Russia but unlesss the visa requirements are reduced it is off the list for the time being.

Registering my interest for a Moscow do -- would love to visit with a local experience/flavour!

I guess visa-free entry to Russia is one of the things that try to make up for the fact that I can't use the e-gates

Yes but many years ago - I think this is it back in 2012 http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...cember-do.html

Another one would be great.

A NCL do would be great, as I would love to pop along. Organisation of such would be another ball game though.....I may need to tick off attending first, ridding me of virgin status

Will there be another London Do/Drinks meet up towards the end of the year as in previous years IIRC?

I'd be definitely interested as after its only just over 11 weeks until Christmas!

Back on topic, I'll look forward to the Do whenever it may be so it's a yes from me. (Assuming it's a Friday or Saturday)
