So, as I stated above, the tier points I earned in the two-week extension were sufficient to push me from Bronze to Silver.
I was expecting my tier point total to be reset to zero at the end of the extension period, to reflect the fact that the tier points earned in that period had already been 'used', but it hasn't been - the total is still standing at 240, and ba.com clearly says that I need only 360 more to retain Silver.
Is that correct? Will those tier points also count towards this year's total? Or will they eventually disappear from my account?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I'm in a similar position, but currently silver going for gold. I'll get the last 280tps I need within 2 weeks of my current tier point year ending 8th August. My total TPs by 19th August will be 1560tps. Do I need to call BAEC before this date or only once the TPs have posted? In your experience, did the upgrade to the next tier give you two years or only one?
