Flash sale?

Not sure if this has any legs but someone may be able to offer an explanation on this...

Been looking at return flights to ORD from LHR in Feb 16.

On Wednesday (30th September) based on flying out WTP returning CW was priced at £1640 plus taxes - so approx. £2kpp

Today, I've managed to get the fare down to £844 plus taxes bringing in a total fare of £1.2kpp

Sector 1 is based on using TLW2S4C1
Sector 2 is using fare basis ILUQIT8

Could this be a flash sale?

Where are you seeing this? This fare basis isn't in a format that I immediately recognise, and I also noticed the letters IT inside it, which may or may not be significant.

Can you reproduce it on any published site? Will ba.com price the trip using that fare? If not, it might just be that you are seeing a private fare that can't be booked by the public.

That conjures up all sorts of strange images in my head :)
