Sounds like it might be giving you the cost of an off-peak BA-BA connection routing via LON. If you call and can get the BOS-DUB EI nonstop, the cost should be just 12,500 Avios one way in Economy.

I thought the redemption costs on this route had gone up? I called yesterday to make a reservation and was quoted 75,000 Avios for a return Aer Lingus Business from DUB to Boston whereas before Aprils "enhancement" I ticketed at 50,000........

DUB-BOS is 2993 miles according to gcmap (I think BA has it at 2985 miles) so should fall in to band 4 for redemptions.
Prior to 28 April the redemption rates one way were:
Y -12,500
J -25,000
After 28 April the redemption rates one way are:
Y -12,500
J -37,500
Note that partner flights are always charged at peak rates.
So Y is unchanged, but J has gone up and a return is now 75,000 avios rather than 50,000 avios.

You mean higher surcharges, right? There are already surcharges on EI's TATL routes.
