Yes, G–CIVF and G–CIVS.
I'm curious about this. Do you know what 'x3' means? Is it 3 times a week, for instance, and if so do we know which days?

Also, I'm curious about the 5 hour and 40 minute turnaround on this aircraft - seems very long - does anyone know why this would be or is it just the best use of this aircraft within the planned timetable?

x3 refers to the service running daily except day 3 which is Wednesdays. The days are numbered from Monday through to Sunday.

With regard to the long turnaround, if it set off much sooner it would arrive back in Heathrow before the morning curfew.

If you look BA112 arrives at 0625. I think the arrivals curfew lifts at 0600 so it could not be much earlier. This is also a highly congested time at LHR so if that is when the slot is available for BA, so be it.

However BA175 also leaves LHR as early as reasonably possible to ensure some incoming connections from Europe can connect to this flight. It could be later but that would be less convenient for those with afternoon meetings in NYC or indeed onward connections from JFK.

Some aircraft are left on the ground for twelve hours each day. For instance in JNB or in Latin America. It's unfortunate but time zones and markets sometimes demand this.

A limited number of arrivals/departures each year within the curfew are allowed.

The number varies based on the noise the aircraft is deemed to make.

That will be the QC system then? I should imagine that the 747s will put a bit of a dent in the QC figures due to their QC/2 rating on landing.

Do you have any idea why they don't operate the 74S on the Wednesday? Stupidly I have the 112 twice in Dec/Jan but booked on Wednesday...

Any chance they might get put on?
