I chose the cauliflower main which was actually quite nice, but a lot to get through. I think I'll just order VLML this time and take pot luck. The soup was very nice in May (as soups often are in F) and the crew were happy for me to have something else from the starter menu too.

@Tobias You beat me to it, i'm on the 27 flying out on the 28th( no 2-4-1 / redemption space left on the A380 unfortunately) If you try the 'Halibut a la creme de salad' please give some feedback. Also away from this thread would greatly appreciate some boots-on-the-ground feedback regarding the current troubles and any feedback on that you have.

I have a LHR to JFK flight in J in under 30 days and although the message came up in MMB exactly 30 days prior saying ‘choose your meal’ there is no choice available and no menu to view. A colleague who is travelling on the same flight on a different PNR also reports the same.

I have enjoyed being able to see a menu and choose a main course on this route since this feature was introduced. Has anyone else had a similar issue recently?

Is this honestly the best or most imaginative menu BA can offer on a prime TATL route? 'School Dinners" again?

We are inclined to decline the Main altogether, and just have Starter and Dessert and beg for a Cheese plate as well. Big Breakfast in the T5 FLounge is definitely on the agenda!

Bakery

All Day Selection of Rolls Whee, how exciting! "Let them eat cake", I say.

Main

Seared fillet of British beef, Lyonnaise potatoes, sauteed chestnut mushrooms, shallot and rosemary sauce
Roast corn fed chicken breast, braised cabbage with pancetta, roast potatoes and thyme jus
Panner [Paneer, I think], sweet potato, cauliflower and chick pea korma with Jasmine rice

Baked chocolate tart
Lemon and lime slice
Warm mixed nuts & dulce de leche flan with vanilla crème anglaise
