YYZ is always a mess. Partly because of the gate set up and the people who play dumb and clog up the lanes. Sometimes it's just not worth bothering trying to priority board. LHR-YYZ is also a bit of a gong show for the same reasons. I watch other flights from LHR to N.A. boarding and YYZ flights seem to be "special".

Just boarded the 1389 at MAN. Priority call was simply for "British Airways Executive Club members" (so including Blues?) "and OneWorld Emerald/Sapphire/Ruby". No tagging whatsoever (although the on-board announcements referenced them), which is ironic as MAN is the only airport I've had carry-ons tagged at before.

YYZ was actually the focus of a question I asked when this was announced. The lounge announces boarding now and the silvers get down to have to wait. Or the gate says 'boarding now - gold' but by the time they notify the lounge and everyone has waited for the damn slow lift its already on Ruby and pointless.

Superbly implemented at Glasgow this morning. Top class.

My personal boarding experience was similar. The lounge just made an announcement that it was time to board. When I got down there there were two lines - one priority and one normal. To be fair, they were strictly enforcing the priority line.

The instructions state where possible, people with one bag are to be tagged too.
Are there any instructions om how small bag two can be?

A bag of peanuts? Why would it matter as long as it was within the maximum dimensions?

I might have misunderstood, but I thought the tagged bag had to go under the seat in front. In that you rather have an empty bag yellow tagged than your laptop bag if you need the space.

Just through T5, writing this onboard. Fast track boarding was announced with the whole list of CE and all status pax. No yellow tags, no measuring of bags on the jetty. Virtually no difference, of course the new gauge was in place but not used.

Slightly OT, but coming off HEX I noticed the general security lanes were closed off by a tensa barrier and a HAL agent was directing people to the South security. Fast track was open, but I opted for South for convenient access to CCR. Huge queue for the general lane as expected, Fast Track wasn't too bad but still busy. Wasn't asked to scan, but the staff member did scan all boarding passes that were offered. As I had to queue a few minutes, offered my BP.

The problem is when you get down to the gate(especially Gate 31) the way the gate seating is all the way up the sides to the main walking area it's hard for any sort of priority boarding to be done. All you need is a few groups who are milling around at the start of the priority line that won't move even when the staff tell them they are in the wrong line or a late arriving wheelchair passenger or family with small children and the line gets messed up because it's such a long narrow affair. It is better now that they go down the line actually enforcing priority boarding but Air Canada's zone system is far superior.

They do this when North has ground to a standstill in my experience.

Was on the LHR-DUB flight on Friday night and it was

CE/Gold together. There was a guy patrolling the line and kicking out the people of incorrect or no status.

On board, the yellow tags were strictly enforced and even Exit Row having to show their seat before being allowed to put yellow tagged bags into lockers

Exactly how it should be done.

No sign of a new boarding process or yellow tags at ORY. Neither for BA nor Openskies.
