Couple more datapoints;
LHR-DUB, boarding from A11, Friday 6th May
^ Pre announcements made explaining the boarding procedure
^ Staff moving people back who were queuing without CE/Gold status
^ Boarding process followed in the correct order, CE/Gold, Silvers, Bronze, General.
DUB-LHR, boarding from 208, Sunday 8th May
No announcements of boarding procedure
^ Staff actively seeking out 3-baggers, and forcing people to gate check extra bags
^ Boarding process attempted properly, but haphazardly,
as a scrum of status pax had already formed queues
^ General boarding were held back,
but anyone else was let through status irrespective
Getting better at DUB, slowly.

Perfect just now at lhr yo Stockholm. Pre boarding announcement, then ce and gold, emphasised people should stay seated, etc. Then silver. I boarded at that point so I can't confirm if it continued like that, but I bet it did.

LCY - DUB - no announcements, but CE/Gold roped area was opened first - there was nothing (signs or direction from check in staff) to indicate that CE/Golds should wait in this area, so if you'd never flown from LCY you'd have no idea that this is where you should wait.
DUB - LCY - pre-boarding called, of which there were none, then CE/Gold announced, but immediately followed by Silver and Bronze. One agent did try saying CE and Gold only at this point but not sure whether this was enforced. This was from the 200 gates, I've found things a bit more organised at the 300 in the past where there were signs indicating priority and general boarding queues.

SIN-LHR (A380): First was called first, then Club World/Gold/Silver/Emeralds/Sapphire (after that I was on board). Not much attempt to screen those boarding, but the CW/status boarding was a bit of a zoo

Well done BA
On the 718 to Zurich this afternoon and boarding was exemplary. The flight was choca - tried to move flights but there was no availability for a cash booking from any London airport to Zurich either yesterday afternoon, today or tomorrow!
Priority boarding called clearly and people were sent away, bags were checked for size and checked in if they didn't fit. All handled very well, even if the scanner wasn't working and they were doing stuff with the keyboard!
And to make it better - upgrade from 10F to 4C in the lounge! Must have been a late change as that was the second time I entered GF - went for a walk - and it didn't give the magic beep the first time.
Now all we need is a little consistency in the process and all is good.
Cheers

My experience over the past month (only on three domestic flights) has been that Business UK, golds and silvers are called first, but this does not appear to be enforced at all. General boarding starts before the priority queue has gone down. Boarding doesn't seem to be any faster this way.

That's certainly how it used to be; bronze was able to board at the same time as gold, silver and business. The new system holds bronze customers back, although it's far from consistently applied.
I guess this is a situation where the bronze "perk" is worth comparatively little, with a likely high percentage of gold and silver cardholders and a sizeable proportion of passengers travelling with cabin baggage only (whether on a HBO ticket or not) putting a lot of pressure on the limited overhead locker space.

Same thing at LHR last night - general boarding was happening and there had been no call for Bronze EC. Wondering if BA are planning to stop Bronze using the priority boarding queue at all and this is their way of drip feeding the bad news?!

ABZ - LHR: Golds and Business UK invited to board first and this was enforced.
LHR - ATH: Golds and CE invited to board first - again enforced.
ATH - LHR: Not sure. Passengers in the lounge were the last to board after everyone else at the gate got on first.
LHR - ABZ: Golds and Business UK first - enforced and folk turned away by the gate agents.

SVQ - LGW - read out the order, but everyone was in one line and at that point no boarding passes were checked and everyone simply boarded in whatever order they liked.
Even those with children / on crutches were not able to board first.
As a result some in CE were not too happy with lots of economy boarding first.

LHR-DUB this morning. CE/Golds/Silvers called first (following the new priority boarding for those who check cases at the gate) ... didn't hang around to hear bronze.
Some forceful "Everyone else SIT DOWN" messaging though (repeated 3 times). No checking of the queue.

I just realised this thread is 9 months old now. I guess it's probably time to put it to bed under the heading of "nice intention BA, poor execution".
The proclaimed new process of First/Gold/Business, Silver, Bronze, Everyone else really didn't take hold and became "we might call that ... or we might call something else ... or maybe something else ... but chances are we won't enforce any of it".
Oh well.

LHR-MUC from a B gate a couple of weeks ago. Called priority boarding. Almost every passenger lines-up. However they were boarding the regular line with nobody in it so I just walked over to that desk and was 2nd person on the plane. Comical

ALC last week. Check in took ages and was a total shambles. Then no priority boarding at all. Then the rock hard seats with no legroom.
CE is just not a premium experience in any way any more.
