I flew BA 556 from LHR to FCO yesterday.
Boarding was an utter nightmare. The flight was full ( I guess Italians leaving after the rugby) and a member of staff was walking the lines trying to persuade people to check in luggage at the gate. Anyone who checked luggage was then allowed to stand behind the counters; with the consequence that about 40 people were allowed to board immediately and fast track then had to cue.
I queried the staff on handing my boarding pass over why priority boarding was not being operated properly and was snapped at rudely that they thought this process would be quicker. Is this allowed??? qUicker for who!

On my LHR-SIN flight last Saturday there was a man in a suit working the line and pulling out First Class passengers and sending them to the front. All pre-boards had already gone on.
After that they said 'Club World, Gold Silver and oneworld card holders' using any line to come forwards'.
It was like a stampede as people tried to work out the shortest line and ran towards the desks.

This is a 241 offer: DYKWIA and boarding process combined
Our OSL-LHR the other night had a family with 2 wheelchair-bound children. They were quite properly taken down first and we were then the next party immediately behind.
The aircraft was not quite ready so were held at the door for a couple of minutes. As we stood there, a tall well-dressed gent sidled past us, then past the family (!!!) and timed his arrival to the second the Tensa was released...
So onto the aircraft he goes and disappears somewhere down the back with not a word spoken by anyone
We'd had a few beers in the (quite nice) OSL lounge so were gigglesome rather than aghast at his behaviour but for goodness sake, pushing in front of disabled kids ?

At JFK last week it was the usual "F, CW, WTP, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby, Nectar Card Holders, Chancers, Prancers and Dancers can all board at your own convenience."

Ironically they used to control boarding like an american airline before the changes!

T3 A380 to MIA the other week was the usual zoo. They were trying to get people to sit down, more chance of Scotland winning the world cup. It is actually quite amusing watching the varying levels of panic. I tend to hover around the big shiny metal thingys just to the left side of the start of the tensas by the seats. Once Club is called, yoink, right in there.

Speaking of American Airlines, I was called by name to the desk at LAX before boarding and then preboarded by their Concierge Key rep as a "valued AA partner customer". So it seems AA treats BA GGLs better than BA does these days!

Sorry this is not acceptable as far as Im concerned. If BA wish to advertise this fine, otherwise please board accordingly.

BA193 from LHR to DFW yesterday. Cramped gate area and a zoo of people lining up to board. Oddly, special assistance/pre-board was called first, but it was nearly 30 minutes later until priority pax were called. F/J/Gold/Silver/Emerald/Sapphire boarded first. GA manning Fast Track turning people away (mostly Bronzes waving their cards).
