It's well worth trying to be on the last flight if you can. The end of an era.

Many pilots have happy memories of the 737, the pilots past and present are holding a bash to celebrate that evening.

Can't be that many pilots present left!

If this was indeed the final GLA 737-400 flight then it was cancelled on Monday night as G-DOCW felt poorly and couldn't begin the flight up. I had thought about booking onto it but with the poor dispatch reliability recently, plus my natural avoidance of LGW domestic arrivals, I went to LCY instead and arrived home early!

I wish I could join the final flight, and I hope it works out for you all!

I was on the final 757 flight and that was great fun, with ATC over the PA and certificates given out to all passengers. Aircraft was also in a retro livery. I hope they do make the effort for the 737 for you all. Sadly I won't make it so will have to settle for photos.

Hi. I currently work at LGW and have been lucky enough to get a seat on the BA 737 farewell flight which is on the 29th. It is sceduled to leave at 14.30 for an hour and a half flight out to the Isle of Wight and along the south coast with Ground/apron photograph oppurtunities and possible water arch from the fire service.I am told that it is for BA staff and partners only as no cost is involved. Not sure if this will be the very last flight of the 737 or just an official farewell flight.

It's a staff only "jolly" where people have bought a raffle ticket to win a seat. The TRN is the last commercial flight on 30th September.

Congratulations of getting a seat, and welcome to Flyertalk Fuelboy. It's good to see people joining us here and those that work in the airline industry are particularly welcome here. I hope you can continue to participate and that we see plenty more of you here. Welcome on board.

I am on the final Turin flights on Wednesday as well. Club out and ET back.

Both RFS flights. Sadly no Club has appeared for me on the way back or was your upgrade a POU srbrenna?

I'll see you there! Hoping to get doubly lucky and get a window seat, but happy just to be on board.

Could someone work some flight radar magic and get a screen grab of the route? It's flying as the BA2737C, departing 14:50.

I booked cash as the Y flights weren't that much and I could bag an exit row. At the time there was no Avios availability. I got a POUG offer quite soon after for the outbound and yesterday for the return ^

I've looked at the seating and CE has an extra row. It goes back to row five now whereas yesterday it was only to row four.
