Chris: would it be straightforward to add a "no ticket number(s)" notification, to be sent if a booking is more than x days old and has a segment less than y days in the future and there are no ticket numbers in the record?

I was caught out this week by not noticing until the day of travel that a BA booking hadn't been reticketed after an Avios upgrade months ago.

My Flights has added a 'ghost sector' on a booking I made via travel agent.
It said it picked up the sector from TripIt, but TripIt shows nothing (maybe it doesn't display ghost sectors...)

This will be that the TripIt booking you imported had an Amadeus PNR in it. MyFlights checks any PNRs it finds in TripIt to see if they're live Amadeus PNRs, and if so, it adds a booking automatically to your account.

The real live booking (from Amadeus) must have had a Ghost segment in it. You wouldn't see it in the TripIt booking as that only contains what you input or what's in the confirmation email you forward.

While I could see if there was no eticket number in there, that doesn't mean a ticket which needs re-ticketing has or hasn't been done - not sure how I'd tell that.

Nor am I... Maybe offer users the option of being advised of the absence of a ticket number x days before travel? I appreciate that for some travellers it is normal to hold a number of reservations that have not been (and may never be) ticketed.

When a flight is held in a booking but not against any actual reservation on that flight. Used to keep PNRs live pending refund/action or to quote.

Sometime over the past few hours, MyFlights moved from being entirely free to Basic (Free), Silver and Gold versions.

Silver is priced at Ł4.99 per month, Gold at Ł7.99, essentially for more frequent checking (although you can still force this manually in Basic) and connection monitoring (which might explain the reports of apparent less frequent updates recently).

Perhaps schofs will be along later to explain the reasoning, and clearly it was unrealistic to expect it to remain gratis forever with the development and hosting costs, but it does strike me that the options are expensive compared to EF when you look how much more functionality you get in an EF subscription.

Well just to clarify, you can remain in gratis land if you wish but this means checks on your bookings every 48 hrs. This may be fine for most I would imagine. Also, just as you currently can, I imagine you can force an update on a specific booking at any time.

If you want more regular checking and flight connection monitoring that would be when you pay.

What is "flight connection monitoring"? Does it check if you have sufficient time to make connections when there are delays?

EF doesn't monitor your bookings though, does it? Unless you set an alert for each flight manually, that is.
