In fact this was one long standing issue which was if you had a wholly AA itinerary so only an AA PNR you couldn't add it to myflights.

Whilst it was using Sabre too, the problem in your scenario is it still won't work since in a mixed BA/AA booking it won't take the BA Amadeus PNR now, and since AA don't allow third party access to their Sabre reservations it won't take the AA PNR either. There is no PNR you could use on myflights.

annoyingly, the app store only told me after I had typed it that someone else had already taken 'chris1979' and also my alternative nickname so it took 3 typings
