Earn Tier Points and Avios with Fiji Airways?

Hi

Any idea if/how I can earn tier points and avois on a Fiji airlines ticketed and operated flight? Is it even possible?
They seem to have an alliance with qantas and AA, but not BA?

All suggestions gratefully received!
Thanks in advance

As a BA exec club member you will earn nada in terms of TP or Avios travelling on FJ.

Welcome to Flyertalk an the BA forum! Unfortunately, Fiji Airlines is not a partner so you cannot earn avios, let alone tier points (which can only be earned on OW ticketed and operated flights) when you fly them.

Booking on a QF flight number would earn on BAEC, however Fiji ticketed will not

Revan I could be wrong but even if booked under a QF code I don't think avios would be awarded. The table on ba.com says:

Flight code of flight - OneWorld airline
Operated by - Non partner airline.
No TP or Avios

The reverse is different though -
Flight code of flight - Non partner airline
Operated by - OneWorld airline
Collect Avios only

Hi,

At the bottom of that page there appears to be an exception for Qantas QF
"Flights booked under the Qantas code (QF) operated by a non-oneworld airline will earn Avios and Tier Points unless operated by Jetstar in a class other than L class"

Regards

Gotcha! Thanks for that. All very inconsistent! Wonder what the reasoning is behind the QF exception. Avios AND tier points. Wow.

If booked under QF you will get TPs and Avios. Otherwise, credit FJ flights to AA - no status points, but at least you will get some miles.

What if you book under the AA codeshare?

Apart from BA codeshares on other airlines, and the QF/EK excpetion, the rule is that it has to be oneworld operated and marketed to earn. So AA codeshare on FJ earns nothing.

I guess once it is fully integrated as the Oneworld Connect partner then you may be able to earn avios and tier points

Any updates on earning FJ flights on BA FF? Oneworld website seems to suggest it started... any experiences?
