Hopefully we’ll have confirmation soon whether variable rates will apply to UuAs. I know many of us have assumed they will but as yet BA has not expressly said so.
I still have a chuck of Avios to use - waiting in hope for carrier surcharges to be savagely cut next month

I do feel sorry for people far from London though, they've been let down big time by BA.

Yes I think that it is fair to say that inter-europa flights, we can be happy, as I think that the rates are not higher - even on peak days but just cheaper on off peak days?
Long haul premium flyers will be the ones crying here... But hopefully this will mean there are more premium seats available for redemption due to the lower demand maybe...?

Just a quick query.
So I am trying to get some IB short haul flights with my BA Avios. Do IB flights qualify for offpeak pricing? I ask because there is a big label OFF-PEAK next to my IB flights but it charges me the old rate.
Route in question is TCI-MAD

I just made a dummy booking for the same BOS - LHR - MAN round trip that I made earlier today, WT+ UUA'd to CW.
This is now categorized as off peak. 48000 avios instead of the 20000 that I paid earlier today. Ouch!!!!!!

I've done the same with PEK - LHR. Family of three used to be 75,000 UUA WT+ - CW now clocking in at an eye watering 180,000 BA DOLLARZ. 140% increase.
Glad I managed to burn most points on LH 241 over the last week. As someone who generally used avios to upgrade thats me done with BA now as I feel they no longer have anything worth offering. I'm sure they will miss me!
