BA242/243 Rumoured to go to 777 for two dates in OCT15

"Planemad" (OK, possibly not the most proven or perhaps accurate information source) is reporting on Tuesday 6th October and 7th October, BA242/3 to/from Mexico City will be a Boeing 777-200ER as opposed to the "standard" Boeing 747.
Haven't been able to do a dummy booking so not sure if this is on the reservation systems or if it's just a rumour.

+1

It won't be the first time for an aircraft substitution, and I'd lay a small wager that it won't be the last time either.

Maybe the op is travelling that day so it's important to him.

Otherwise, very random piece of information :-)

On other occasions when people have asked about similar substitutions, there's usually a definite context in mind (eg to which seat should I move?).

And if the OP is travelling on that date and already has a booking, it seems unlikely that they'd need to try to do a dummy booking in an attempt to see the aircraft type.
