Sameday Change on AA award ticket booked with Avios
 
AA allows free sameday changes on their award ticket if there are seats remaining with award availability on the same day. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this also applies to AA reward ticket booked with Avios?

If you booked with avios you need to change prior 24 hours to departure and would pay an amendment fee either £35 if uk or $55 if us. If itsbooked with avios its the change rules for avios that apply rather than the AA rules.

I've done same day standby on AS on Avios tickets, paying the $25 to change to a later flight. Believe it should work as any AA ticket.

You would need to do it as you checked in with AA.
