British Airways Biz Class Question (Fares)

So we are booked IAH/CPH-ARL/IAH on BA in biz class in the middle of teh summer and were able to get the fare for less than $3k, a steal in my opinion. Yes we booked months ago but the fare has only gone up slightly on a recent check.

We are also traveling in Oct IAH/ZUR-AMS/IAH and the cheapest airfare (without going thru IST) is $4500 on any airline. I have been searching this fare for 6 months now.

Anyone have any insight to why a fare to Zurich in October would be so much more expensive? I would have thought a summer fare to Europe would have been much more. Oh, well, maybe premium economy it will be.

Business travel falls off in July/August so fares are lower, especially relative to WT and WTP. It comes in handy! There will probably be low business class fares over Thanksgiving and for short periods around Christmas and New Year.

Have you looked at fares to other European cities instead of ZRH for your dates?

You can add a hop to ZRH from pretty much anywhere in Europe for $100 or so.

CPH especially, and ARN to a lesser extent, are some of the cheapest places to start trips to the US as well, so it makes sense that trips to there might also be a little cheaper.
