A380 F with infant
Tried Googling this but haven't been able to find a definitive answer.
Need to do an LAX-LHR shortly with wife and daughter who will be 2 months at that time, so we'll need a basinet cot. Ideally we want to be on the A380.
I read somewhere the only basinet position in A380 F is at 4F, is that correct? If so, I assume we're good to go as long as we can snag 4EF?
If anyone has done both A380 F and 747 UD with an infant, I would be interested to know what was better: usually I'll default to F when traveling with family, but 64A is a lot more private which obviously is useful too.
Thanks in advance.

Travelling with an infant you should be able to book a seat as soon as you have bought a ticket - from my experience every time we flew with our son it also automatically assigns you a bassinet/bulkhead position (although we have not flown on A380 or on anything higher than wtp on l/h). Normally bassinet/bulkhead seats are illustrated on the seat map when choosing seats as well....

4F is the Bassinet position on A380 F. No 747's work the route. Travelling with an infant, you'll not need to snag the seat, you'll be given it. Consider 4K as the "dad" seat. The aisle gives a little extra space, oddly. And some space for you when your wife is....well, when you are not needed.

Last question: does the A380 only take the bassinet 'seat' or does it allow the cot as well? Know I am getting a bit specific here

Cant see the problem with a baby in F.
Think i would rather a family with a baby than some of the overweight snoring execs you often get, who somehow manage to smell worse than a dirty nappy after only a few hours into a long haul flight.
Have a good and safe flight OP. ^
