Best close European airport to get ex EU fare
I'm about to book a Club World return ticket to the US for April, and have been reminded how very much can be saved by starting the routing ex-EU. A quick play with both ba.com and Matrix suggests I can save about a third of my fare by doing this. I don't have time to go far into Europe, and I guess I'm thinking about either CDG or AMS - is one easier to negotiate for getting off a plane and getting back on another one fairly quickly? Should I consider anywhere else - BRU? FRA?
Advice most welcome, thank you folks.

For ease of doing it, I would rank my top 10 something like this, with Bergen as the best:
1) BGO
2) SVG
3) GOT
4) CPH
5) AMS
6) BRU (but read up on how to do it)
7) ARN
8) JER
9) GVA
10) HAM
CDG wouldn't be on my list.

Hi,
For flights to the West Coast USA at the end of august , CPH was pricing at about £1400, BRU at about £1500 and DUB a bit higher.
DUB has been very very good recently though.
Regards
