Gatwick F Lounge to close from 3pm

Breaking news...from April 13. GCH have to use Terraces beyond 3pm as the F lounge will be closed to, hilariously, allow for extra cleaning and restocking. Every day.

"Customers requested a cleaner, simplified lounge offering at Gatwick and this is nothing to do with relentless cost cutting."

Every day until when? I mean, I cannot imagine this being a good idea on a long term basis as GC will fill up pretty quickly, especially when the summer holidays begin.

Ahhhh you heard already !

From What I understand there are some what would seem Genuine enhancements to the galleries lounge to offset the earlier closure of the F lounge.

I did wonder whether it was an early April fool. Sadly not. Some nominal changes to the Galleries do not compensate for this.

With every reduction in product and service I grow happier and happier to have decoupled from BA.

Oh, good grief!

Is there to be no end to the continual degradation of BA's services to customers?

Nonsense. The enhancements to the Terraces revolve solely around more bacon rolls and more sandwiches.

This is really pathetic.

So BA have a Heathrow lounge with a food safety score of 2 out of 5, and they're closing the Gatwick F lounge for cleaning? Anyone would think this was to do with cost cutting.

A nice warm up for when it goes completely with the move to the South terminal

Think we can safely say that the move to the South terminal will bring about a single, combined lounge

Sounds disappointing.

Not been to LGW for a while but underwhelming for the airline's second home.

I'm quite impressed with BA.
They seem to be doing everything possible to make my recent short haul switch to easyjet just that little bit easier to justify.
