I notice most of the good Ex CAI premium deals seem to have disappeared. CAI - West coast is more than double what it was.

Is this a seasonal thing or just BA catching up on what they think is an anomaly ?

Ex CAI was a hassle but cheap so I guess there will be quite a few more empty spaces up the front.

FYI, I tried to price up an HLE - West Coast but it didn't work.

BA operated a test flight to the island previously.

Out of curiosity, I youtubed St Helena, and came across this
and if you jump to 19:24, it would appear that the airport does indeed have a business lounge, so who knows?

I guess the BA flight you're referring to was a one-off last year.

The video clip shows two go-arounds before a touch-down on the third attempt in blustery conditions. The accompanying article talks of the new weekly service.

Mayeb BA can use Comair to fly there on a weekly basis, just like what SA airlink did, with a stop in Windhoek

That's what they were intending to do with a specially equipped 737 which meant that Windhoek was unnecessary.

It had to be stopped due to windshear and Airlink stepped in with a smaller aircraft that can land on the opposite runway.

It's intended that on the second Saturday of the month the E190 continues to Ascension Island and makes a night stop there before returning back ASI-HLE-WDH-JNB on the Sunday. The "so what" of course is that you could fly JNB-WDH-HLE vv. that weekend and have 27 hours to explore St Helena without committing to a full week.
