Terminal 3 lounge options

Hi all,

Had a quick search around and can't find a definitive answer on this.

I'm flying from LHR T3 to Prague on Monday on an avios booked Club Europe ticket. I'm Bronze so have no lounge access rights due to status so i was wondering:
a) As a OneWorld Business Class passenger will I be able to access the Cathay Pacific and American Admirals Club lounges in T3 or will I be confined to the Galleries lounge in T3? The OW website seems to imply this will be fine:
Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status.
http://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access

and the Cathay website seems to agree http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_G...tance.LHR.html

b) is it even worth checking the other two lounges out? I've heard the Cathay one is fairly new but not sure on AA.

Any insight most welcome.

Thanks,

Rich

Yes you can, but personally I prefer the BA lounges in T3 unless they're very crowded...

Ah, I was thinking no one has asked about the T3 lounges recently. But yes you can use either BA, AA or CX.

As to which is the best one to use, that particular question has come up a few times before however:

Thanks very much both. I will try and give all three a go depending on how much time I have. Priority will be to check out CX lounge.

Cathay Pacific First Lounge hands down.

I was in the Business CX lounge last month, it is way nicer than the BA lounge!

Enjoy!

Also, it's a subject that's been discussed many times:

My order of preference is
(1) Cathay FIRST
(2) Cathay business
(3) BA FIRST
(4) BA business

Try them all they probably won't stop you!

Indeed it is a fairly frequent question (but questions is what we do here). That thread has interesting links and perspectives, and the AA Clubs haven't much changed, however the new Cathay lounge wasn't in the frame at this stage. So this more recent thread, including links to the Cathay forum, is here and it has many contributions in it.

Echoing others, easily CX F.
The CX J lounge mightily impressed me too. After breakfasting in F and not wanting to look like a greedy guts by having a bite for lunch once the menus switched over, I sauntered to J and found a curry with huge hunks of chicken in it- many over a third of a breast you would get in a supermarket packet. So much tastier and fulfilling than BA's cheapo carb and slop fest.
The F lounge burger wipes the floor with the BA one.
T3 departures have been a pleasure this year.

I always visit the quick eats bar in Cathay business. The food in Cathay First is typically good, but for reasonable dim sum made to order it's all about that long bar.

Are there any inside rumours on when the new QF lounge might be opening?

No, the OP can visit any of the three OW lounges in T3 even if access is only based on cabin.
