BA to Madrid

I'm flying to Madrid in a couple of days and was wondering a couple of things.

Do the 767s have new interiors? The last time I flew on one it looked like it had travelled to the future from the 1940s, not just Heathrow!

Also, where do the majority of 767 flights depart from in T5? Is it one of those bus gate things? Because I despise them with a passion and every short-haul flight (T3, T5 and LGW) with BA I've been on has been from a bus gate.

Thanks

BA to Madrid

The short haul 767s don't have new interiors and aren't due to receive any.

That's not quite true! The 767s have been refreshed over the past couple of years - new LCD overhead screens, seats re-covered, new carpets etc.

Great aircraft, 34" legroom in CE and a guaranteed CSD.

The 767s are still pretty old and 'worn looking' on the Madrid route. I'd hardly call them refreshed!

We're on a 767 to MAD.

According to the seat map it would seem to be a long haul 767....I think.

The last part is a bonus, yes.

I meant of course they don't have the "new" cabin - that's a good thing to most of us.

I love 767s and will go out of my way to cop one.

Well the plane wasn't too shabby (both ways!) but I did notice not all the seats were re-covered.

Service was okay, food was okay - not really anything special. The only thing bad was that there was a baby screaming non-stop in front of us on the way back, and I wish they put it in the overhead compartment just like Matt Lucas does in Come Fly With Me.

We were on an airbridge leaving Heathrow for once, so that was quite nice!
