I was in the BA lounge flying to Sofia last year (cannot remember the Terminal, May have been 3) early morning flight, and they did not have champagne but an orribile sparkling wine ..

So in a corporate-wage-slave style - I did a little recce of all the lounges at T3 and their sparkling/champagne offers. I have also added a price from a quick google search to give an indication of value. Here is the results:
BA F Lounge Landon Extra Age Rose - £69.95 Palmer & Co - £40 Castelnau - £34.99 https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...95a183aaa.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...744979a06.jpeg Cathay First Class Laurent-Perrier - £39 Laytons Rose - £27 Joseph Perrier - £40 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1603283be.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...e9ab903c9.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a9f109563.jpeg Qantas Sparking - Croser - £25 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...d5d06f0ba.jpeg AMEX Platinum Sparkling - Blanquette de Limoux - £12.99 American Airlines Admiral Sparkling - Stelle d’Italia - £12.20 https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...805cc1882.jpeg In terms of a taste test - I would put BA first with the Lanson Rose, Cathay second and Qantas third. In terms of food - AMEX Platinum, Cathay First and the rest trail off! Of note - I normally really like the CX lounge but I have moved to BA F lounge for peace and quiet and decent champagne - who would have thought! I hope this helps folks! Regards aks120 |
Wait, is Ray back at Qantas lounge? I was told she quit to move back to India for a new managerial role there?!
|
Are those BA champers from the Flounge or Club?
|
Thanks aks120, looks like I might make a quick visit to BA F on my trip next month rather than just sticking with CX!

One has to get one's priorities sorted... |
Is there any word as to when the AA flagship first lounge is to re open? Not so much that I want to visit it, but it would mean the CX F lounge would be much quieter again.
|
When I ask the AA Lounge Lady, she said it was scheduled for the 'end of the month' - we shall see!

What is the current opening times for Qantas gin bar and À la carte dining?
|
Left Luggage
Will be In T3 tomorrow for about 6 hours. Am thinking of keeping my baggage with me rather than checking it in. Will be visiting the lounges and would like to leave my liggage in one of the lounges and just pick it up before boarding.
Do any of the OW lounges have this facility and would I be able to leave the lounge to go to another or have a look in the Terminal and pick it up later? I am flying BA but obviously can use the AA, CX and QF lounges also |
