Or spare yourself time reading this and just first go for a dinner with apron view to CX followed by Gin Bar at QF.
BA and AA don't have anything special to offer in their lounges.

Anyone have any knowledge of which business lounge T3 might be best for clearly labelled gluten free food around lunchtime? In the days before I HAD to eat GF I would have gone to CX, but not so sure now. I use the T5 lounge fairly regularly but the food is not great, though clearly labelled. Thanks.

AA usually have excellent Wifi if you needed to download a show / series rather quickly...

Had my first visit to the CX F lounge on Wednesday. The Joseph Perrier ‘08 went down very well, a noticeable step up from the Laurent Perrier non vintage. I was surprised how small and compact the lounge was. It was very quiet, so felt cosy and exclusive, but think I would prefer the J lounge if it was busy.

Best Breakfast option t3?

Hi all, I’ve realised that for the first time since I can use the lounges, I am departing from the much discussed T3 for a long weekend in Vienna next Saturday with my girlfriend on the 07.50 flight.

Which business (silver) lounge is best for breakfast? We’ll probably also want a 7am glass of bubbles to celebrate the weekend, so do any of the business lounges have a self pour champagne option (like Gatwick) or is it all on request like T5 galleries?

Thanks.

I would say CX J Lounge for breakfast, you will have sausage, beans, scrambled eggs, bacon as hot items probably mushrooms too as well as the typical cold (smoothies, detox shots, yoghurts in the fridge). They have a manned bar with Moët I believe and a range of cocktails. I’d thoroughly recommend their Bloody Mary and.Expresso Martini.

Dont think QF Lounge will be open then and it’s been a while since I’ve been in BA J or AA J for breakfast.

This thread has been an interesting read. My TA travel back to the UK is typically over the Christmas hols, is planned many months in advance and is in either F, or J and on BA metal based on fares. Late last month, “‘er indoors” suddenly realised that it was her parents golden wedding anniversary in June (I told her that she’s 49 this year, so that might have been a bit of a clue! ;) ). Result is that F and J are “F and Expensive”, so PE here we come. :(

As we’re AAdvantage members, we opted for AA metal this go round and have our fingers and other appendages crossed for a miles and copay upgrade to J (both flights are on a Wed, so that hopefully improves our chances). Upshot is that we depart out of T3, so based on the information on this thread, it looks like we’ll visit the CX lounge for breakfast (10:25AM departure) then decant to the QF lounge for a flat white coffee for my wife (she loved those in SYD last year) some bubbles for me and then a quick detour to the AA lounge for a “candy” run and then head to the gate. ;)

Some recent visits to T3. Overall I liked CX f and AA F. The CX drinks menu though is open to all J and F despite me saying F below. Only a quick visit to QF and that was pre GIB do and it was a tad busy and a bit messy but I’m sure would be a great way to wait for a afternoon/evening flight.

Thanks KeaneJohn.

OWS here, so I’ll have to make do with the T3 J lounges.

Prior to the AA/USAiways merger, I would fly US Aiways as part of *A and fly out of T1 and use that lounge. After the merger and before BA reintroduced the LHR-SAN route, I would use AA on the LAX-LHR route and being none the wiser, I would stick to the Admirals club in T3 when coming home and make do with that. Since the BA SAN service restarted, I’ve pretty much stuck to BA metal and T5 departures.

Now that I’m back to T3, the information gleaned here at FT will help make the lounge experience a bit lot more enjoyable than the “meah” AA Admirals Club offering.

Some bad news for those of you who like The Botanist. Qantas have stopped serving it in their T3 lounge. Here is the most recent gin bar menu:

Apols for asking a probably often asked question but at what sort of time does the food switch over from breakfast to lunch in the t3 one world business lounges? Thank you.
