Also even though it was claimed to start on the 10th, looking back a few years ago it always started on December 22nd, I assume that may be the case this year too unless it changed in recent years.

According to the HFP website BA have dumped a whole lot more redemptions from J on the market rather than have a sale.

I think Raffles said a few days ago that the knew when the sale would be but he could not say (I assume under Non Disclosure Agreement?).

I don't think that's exactly what he said and those additional redemptions referred to were in a very limited time frame which I would expect to be much shorter than any sale period.

BA Sale 2015/2016

Hi,

Long shot but has anyone got a clue on when the sales are going to start and would you advise waiting or going with some flights/car bookings I found today at a reasonable price?

Know it's a hard question but any advice would help a lot. Thanks

I am not sure but last year was Boxing day and I heard it'll be earlier this year as Virgin are already on sale.

See Globaliser's in the thread I linked to, it seems it was 17 December last year, not Boxing Day.

I would always advise that if you've seen a fare you're happy to pay then take it. It might not be there tomorrow and there's no guarantee that it will be any cheaper in a sale or indeed if there will be a sale at all.

If you have seen a price you like them buy it now. There is no guarantee that your route and / or dates and/or cabin class will be included in a sale.
