Judging by the LHR-HEL meetup thread, I expect BA aren't in need of filling any more CE seats There are days where CE stretches all the way back to row 12 (which means you can get CE with an emergency exit row, but you're not sure to get fed or champagned...)

Oh wow, it's almost like they've got bad publicity going on at the moment and are trying to make everyone like them again...

Anyone got any thoughts on whether there will be another BA holidays CW sale covering the Christmas / New Year period, as there has been in previous years? I noticed that NYC is covered in the current sale, but prices are working out about 500 more than I've paid in previous years, and most other destinations don't seem to be included for December.

There's no Mystic Megs around - so all I'd suggest is make an informed decision on historical sales :

The Ultimate BA Sale Fare Archive | Continental Club Blog

Black Friday has been a sale launch at times, otherwise end of Nov tends to do the Xmas specials; either 2 for 2k type affairs or additional Avios release. I guess BA won't want people to become used to a repeat sale or customers would hold their nerve...

Generally speaking, putting aside the 'official' sales, keep a very regular eye on ba.com 'Find our cheapest fares'

Regularly prices do drop, sometimes just for a week or it can be more or less and is dynamic at times.

I got an First Class A fare from ARN to LAX and back in WTP (UuA to CW) last year in a non official sale period for just over 1.1k I which I thought was good.

I know I have said this many a time but it really is worth checking the above as well as keeping an eye on the usual Premium Fares threads and TP Run threads or try the ITA Matrix for more options, ex EU etc. ex INV/JER etc can be fruitful too at times though.

Looking to book a BA Holidays package for a European trip in early January, is it best to secure it now or wait until Black Friday?

Hi,

I have started seeing some BF adverts on tv ( not for BA ) but I think some companies who did it last year will not be doing it this year.

Regards

Read an article on the Daily Mail that some companies are not doing it this year.
So, likely ALL companies are doing it!
