Earning Avios with Kaligo (Too good to be true?)

I've made this thread before, about a Y fare to LAX for £180something.

But today, looking around FT, I've seen something that I don't believe. If this is true, why are all the clubcard guys buying V3 cards?

10,000 Avois a night seems unreal...

EDIT: 2500GBP PER NIGHT!! MY BAD

To good to be true? PART 2

If you have a look at Head For Points: http://www.headforpoints.com/2014/11/25/avios-points-british-airways-hotel-kaligo/

You'll see you need to spend £1000 for a 10,000 Avios bonus. The 3000 Avios for any booking below that is excellent however. I'm staying at the Days in Belfast next week for £45 and getting 3000 Avios on top of 200 base Avios for my trouble.

It justified cancelling my Hilton booking (where I get Diamond "treatment") at double the price and sacrificing any points earning.

Staying at the four seasons in the 'Park View Excutive Suite' will cost £2400 for 6 nights (one week in New York). You'll earn 230,000 avois. Basically paying for 2 returns to NYC in First. Pretty amazing deal.

I very much doubt you'll earn 230k for that.

The 10k bonus is for bookings over £1k and then it's usually between 1 and 5k per night depending on spend. Roughly 1k more per extra£100 cost per night.

To good to be true? PART 2

It's not a bonus per night. It's per booking I'm afraid.

That advertisement is misleading unless it refers specifically to one-night stays. It's a one-off bonus.

Once I've got my 3200 Avios I will then switch back to other, conventional methods of booking.

The bonuses are good though. I've bagged both this one and rocket miles and think you could do it truce with BAEC and avios if you use different e mail addresses.

Can I sue them for false advertising?

Christ, that's an outrageous earn rate!

I suspect most of that is base Avios. HFP suggests it's per night, not booking. I tend to find HFP pretty reliable and cannot locate the TnCs of the site at the minute.

First to JFK from LHR is £3200. This hotel (One of the nicest in NYC I suspect) for 6 nights is £2500 and pays for your first flight (+tax) and then another 100000 odd Avois. Seems pretty good for £2500... I'd be taking advantage of it but my family live there so no point.

Crickey.

How far can you go in the booking process? This can't be normal but wonder if they might honour it.
