This thread gives the current catering options for the Galleries First Lounge (Flounge) in LHR Terminals 3 and 5. This lounge is open to BAEC Gold and oneworld Emerald card holders. Passengers flying BA on a First ticket can also use the Concorde Room. The catering supplier was changed on 2 May 2013 to BaxterStorey. Click here to see the former thread, which covered that turbulent period.

The T3 lounge is identical to T5 in terms of food and drink options. However there is no Concorde Room in T3 so from 18:30 hrs there is a pre-flight dining option for First travellers, see here for more details.

The current catering options in the First lounge can be found in the first post in the thread, or you can click here. Currently lounge menus are not always on display in the lounge, but this link may be your best bet to see the options.

The "falafel" wasn't quite recognizable as falafel, no real distinct balls of falafel, but instead kinda a chickpea mush/spread. Falafel flavor was there though.

For the first time answered the little BA phone poll on satisfaction with the lounge and complained about the removal of the menus and that they were difficult to get on my last visits. Received a call about 5 minutes later from a lady who was premium experience manager (or some similar title) who wanted to discuss with me and confirmed that this was only a trial and that feedback was very useful. Just in case anyone else keeps receiving those text requests to answer three questions and feels like sending their feedback!...

I remain of the belief that removing the menus is a precursor to the food to order being enhanced because nobody wants it and anyway people would prefer a lighter option appropriate to the time of day.

I agree I was in there on Tuesday evening and there wasn't a menu to be seen. I had decamped from the CCR as I don't like any of the CCR main course options and the desserts in the CCR have been rubbish for a while.

I was really quite surprised to find better white wine in the Flounge (Chassagne Montrachet), a decent beef stroganoff on the buffet and the delicious salted caramel dessert. The cake selection in the afternoon (and I really like the red velvet cake) that I took back to the CCR the day before was also very good.

it would be really helpful if the current Flounge menu was more detailed and prominent (including the buffet items) here so those in the CCR could order these items too.

Likewise very few menus about the Flounge last night (17/9), when I asked one of the servers if they had stopped laying them out she just laughed. Anyhow used the iPad to feedback on the lack of menus.

It would be a welcome additional if the Flounge menu was available in the CCR so everyone knew of the alternative items.

In the absence of that though just having it here as a reference point would be useful but there is no simple listing of the offerings as there is for other lounges.

Post 1 does have the current "waiter" menu, and a hint as to the buffet contents. I certainly take your point on the buffet desserts in particular, since they would add greatly to the CCR offering, but they seem to change very frequently. Scones seems to be the one stable item.

I'll add something to the CCR menu thread along the lines you suggested, and I look forward to you updating that thread, and indeed this thread, with all the specific content that you come across!

Judging by the other thread it would be a welcome addition if the Flounge menu was available in the Flounge !

Yes happy to update as and when I venture in, I was just surprised that we didn't have a dedicated Flounge menu wiki though as in the current circumstances it would help contributors here actually select in the absence of physical menus in the lounge, perhaps help foil BA's dastardly plan and give those of us of a mischievous disposition something easy to print and distribute in the Flounge

The GF menu is linked to in the wiki. It is in post 1 and I posted the updated menu only two weeks ago.

EDIT: buffet items from early August here also but may have changed since. I have started to try and pop over when the GF menu changes *, but (and I have moaned about this before ) it would be nice if some of the GF regulars took this on. It really isn't much effort, a few photos taken and uploaded once in a while.

* - although I realise getting hold of a menu to photo is a bit tricky atm
