If you could have a job with BA what would it be and why?

OK, it's the weekend and this is meant as a lighthearted thread.

Personally, I'd like to be a Pilot preferably on short haul routes with lots of take off's and landings :)

What job would you like to do (if any!) and why?

Maybe you would like to work:

At the Lounge Desks?

Special Services?

Cabin Crew?

Engineering?

Brands and Marketing?

BA or bust Nov 30, 2014 8:42 am

Not fussed about which job, as long as it was on the (back in service) fast plane. From Captain to loo cleaner, I really wouldn't mind. :D

Special Services sounds fun.

I was going to join BA in the early 90s as an engineer. I applied to leave the Air Force and all was looking good. Unfortunately the Gulf War kicked off and off I went to war. I missed out on all my resettlement courses so when the war finished I had to change my plans and opted to stay on in the Military. I'm not a natural pilot and engineering is very satisfying. The ultimate job is probably Station Engineer.

IT, so I could take a stab at fixing a disgrace which is ba.com :D (I have some experience in running high-traffic web sites).

Frank van der Post's job is free I hear - anyone from hereabouts putting their name forward?

HIDDY Nov 30, 2014 9:10 am

I would like a job in customer service.....manning the trivial complaints line.

Not sure how well paid they are. I don't know for sure but I think it's only available internally but if I ever do see "JFK operations manager" pop up on the careers page I'll apply hahaha
