Entirely possible when you consider that there weren't as many codeshare opportunities then as are now. Did you even earn tierpoints on non BA metal back then?
Also for the fact your tierpoints reset to zero upon going up to the next tier.

One of my Dad's maps from his time at Cook's. A 1960s BOAC guide.
Handy route maps for your next trip to the Aden Protectorate, Federation of Malaya, and Upper Volta!

Also found a fold out BOAC map of New York City.

And not BA related, but I found the JAL map interesting!

'Interim' scheme from 1997. Does anyone think this plus the speedmarque would make a good livery for BA now?

I like this, but not sure the curvy speedmarque would work with the more angular tail design.

Bring back the old speedbird logo!

What was the logic of this livery? Surely more economical to paint once.

if I recall correctly, several aircraft were prepped in this way prior to the unveiling of Project Utopia, with tails and speedmarques quickly incorporated in time for the launch date.

The short-lived Firefly eight years ago. The Doves lasted a bit longer!
