Ideas for LHR t5 to anywhere b2b daytrip?
I would love to visit t5 shops and concorde room between 23dec and 2 jan so looking for a convenient trip for 2 people to match. Cheapest flights throws up lots of LGW and T3 departures...also need to depart after about 11am. Lhr-ncl-lhr or lhr-dub-lhr look options at around £95 rtn, but any other good ideas? (I don't like the idea of a 1 way no show).

Unless you have a CCR card or can find 2 people to guest you in the only way to get in would be on a long haul F flight which is not going to be cheap!

If you’re ok with winging it close-in, the BA weekend day trips might have something for you.
Either use the low fare finder or look for G booking class availability a few days before departure.

I’m assuming from your post that you hold a CCR card, and that the shopping is to save money on a specific purchase.
Dublin, whilst doable, is no longer quite the relaxed B2B experience it used to be. See Ex DUB logistics and positioning | clinic thread.
AMS remains foolproof and is usually reasonably price competitive.
HAM can also come in reasonably cheap, particularly (relatively) in CE.

This thread:
Weekend day trip fares
and the Back to Back thread (via the Dashboard) should give you ideas. But of your suggestions, the NCL is a near perfect place for a B2B - off the aircraft. very short walk to the finest BA lounge in the network. This has a view onto the departure gate, such that you can leave when boarding is near to completion.

NCL's MCT is 30 minutes so that one is allowed, turnarounds are always longer than that. You may need to call up to book however, BA.com tends to put an artificial minimum of 2 hours in place. However it is risk free on separate tickets, so long as you walk no further than the lounge.
