787-9 recommendations
I'm booked for my first 787-9 CW experience shortly. I don't see a specific 787-9 seating thread, hence posting here.
What's the collective view on best seats?
I'm a window seat type, so I'm guessing 7A or 7K are the favoured options - smaller front cabin, direct access? Unfortunately these are both taken...
13A is free - is this a good bet, or is it overlooked by WTP?
Any thoughts on relative merits of other seats - missing windows etc?

Row 60 Upper Deck 747
Hi all
Looking for a bit of advice. Myself & my partner are flying Club to JFK next month. The only seats available on upper deck are 60a/b. Are these seats ok? Is toilet beside a nuisance? Or should I pick seats downstairs?

Afternoon! Upstairs without doubt - 100% agreement here from Post 1150 a couple of days ago! The toilet will be no nuisance at all

Hmm not sure you've travelled in row 60. Not so much a slam dunk.
I would say yes, for the person in 60B the toilet will be a bit of a nuisance. You are right in the line of sight. For 60A, no issue.
But, it is a day flight so sleep interruptions won't be a primary concern (I assume).
I'd go for it but check back regularly... seats open up as people's travel plans change, especially all the business travel to NYC, from my experience you will be able to shift to other upper deck seats if you keep checking.

IMO every seat on the 747 UD is better than any seat downstairs with the possible exception of F on a day flight.

I would definitely take these seats upstairs over anything in Club downstairs on the 747 - the whole experience upstairs is a lot better
60A is perfectly fine, standard window seat; as a solo traveler with the screen up the proximity to the loo makes zero difference
60B is right by the loo so not 100% ideal, but much less disturbing on a day flight than a night flight (would avoid 60B if possible on a night flight) - it's a little tiny bit annoying to see the loo open / close, but in reality being at the front of the cabin this is compensated by having less "non-loo" foot traffic and service come by you - a fair trade and a perfectly fine seat

Sadly our next BA is on an A380, and after that a 777
PS: I wonder if 60K has an escape route by the cabin wall? We've only ever done 63A/B and 64A/B, as we're boring
